Hydration

HYDRATION!

One of the most if not the most important component of leading a healthy lifestyle.

The human body is composed on average of around 70% water, we lose lose 2-3 litres per day going through everyday life so that is a bare minimum that you have to replace. When you through exercise in the picture we can sweat another few litres out and with water being such a large part of the make up of our bodies you can see how important it is to replace everyday.

Through the hot summer months it is even more important to make sure that you are keeping your body well hydrated at all times.

Water also:

Supports digestion through the formation of saliva.

Is the medium in which all energy reactions take place.

Keeps mucosal membranes moist.

Is required for flushing waste and bacteria through both perspiration and urination.

Acts as a shock absorber for the brain and spinal cord.

Is the primary component of synovial fluid for lubricating joints.

Stay hydrated and remember once your thirsty your already dehydrated!
